Question by : Losing weight quick and going to the loo straight after eating?
I’m scared to go to the doctors because it might be nothing and I don’t want to look stupid but when I eat about 3-5 mins later I go to the toilet, even if it’s a big meal. I’ve been noticing I’ve lost a lot of weight in the past 2 weeks. I used to eat one meal a day then I slowly went back to 3 meals and that’s when this started. I don’t think my digestive system is working properly because of the above and I’m getting hardly any energy. I’ve been getting tired very easily, my iron levels are dropping and at one point I had to double the amount of iron&vitamin tablets I take (I have insomnia)
What could this be?
Oh and I’ve just started getting small stomach aches and it’s now literally a minute after

I feel the urge to go to the toilet after each meal, although I am sure there is not enough time for that food to pass all the way through the stomach and intestines. This started some weeks ago and I have lost weight, about 5 lbs (age 87, male, 5’4″now 120 lbs, max about 136 lbs years ago waist size was 34 now about 31 inches)There is no diarrhea, no blood in the stool, no constipation, Sometimes shortly after going to the toilet I feel the urge to go again. About 5 years ago I had stomach ulcers successfully treated with Aciphex which I took 20 mg/day but discontinued after I started losing my appetite, my doctor suggested “it might be too effective”? Had a colonoscopy 6 months ago. . I believe my diet is a relatively healthy one, fruits, vegetables, cereals. multigrain bread, not too much meat, fish, (shrimps are my favorite) Anything I should avoid? Supplements, Centrum silver, vitaminBcomplex, Vit.C. fish oil, Calcium citrate.I will call my Gastro-enterologist for a consultation but in the meantime would appreciate any information

Most of us ask, “Is there really an effective weight loss plan for men? Gone are the days when only women are concerned about health and beauty. Men now are also into looking good and being healthy at the same time. Who’s to blame, when society often judges people on how they look in an instant. They say first impressions last, so for that impression to be good, you have to look good! The first question men have to ask themselves before getting into their weight loss plan is, “How committed am I in doing this?” Yes, we have our goals and purposes, but how serious are we in achieving these? Before getting into anything, commitment comes first. You can’t just exercise know and then slack off next week or starve yourself today and then eat like a pig tomorrow. Serious consistency is the key to success. To be able for your plan to work, you need to focus on what you want to achieve and then how are you going to accomplish it. Unrelenting passion is needed because if you really want it then for sure it’s all yours. After getting the commitment, the next step in an effective men’s weight loss plan is admitting that they are working on their weight. Most men hide the fact that they are on a diet or they are going to the gym. There is a notion that it’s quite a shame for someone to put so much effort in improving their figure, when there is really nothing wrong about it. Be open. Once your plan is working, you’ll have the confirmation that it is, by the people around you. Most of the times, you’ll get encouragement and even buddies along the way in your weight loss adventure. Now, to the actual physical work in men’s weight loss program. After you are emotionally equipped in going through the process, you should start with a journal. Yes, never think that journals are for wusses because you will need it in checking and updating your progress. Start with measuring yours stats like weight, height or the body part you would want to enhance. Set a goal and list down the work out routine that is compatible to your body type. It is also nice to list down the foods that you are eating in a day to day basis so that you can check out yourself how you’re doing with your diet plan. Most people are complaining that they are not eating too much but it’s not working, only to find out that it’s due to inconsistency. With you listing down everything, you would actually see if you’re really following strict diet and even contemplate if you will add or deduct something until you are used to doing it yourself without the journal. The two ultimate steps in an efficient work loss plan for men are exercise and diet. It would not work if you do diet alone without exercising and vice versa. Either you hit the gym or make the world your gym. Every gym has instructors who will give you a work out program the best suits you. You don’t need to hire them if you’re in a budget. Almost all work out routines is illustrated in the internet so you won’t have a problem in executing them. If you’re not really fond of gyms then go out and do running, cycling or any other sports or physical activities that would burn off those fats. After all these, the most important step in an effective work loss plan for men is start now. They say don’t do tomorrow what you can do today. The earlier the better so start working it out NOW!

Question by : Does the Skinnygirl Daily Weight Management & Energy diet pill work?
I came across this diet pill and I am interested in it. I want to know if anyone else has tried it and if it does any justice before I go ahead using. Or are there any other diet pills that you could suggest? Look forward to some answers!

There is no sound medical proof that any of them work.

The only one with FDA approval is Alli and you need a BMI over 28to buy it, or risk counterfeit Alli buying online (FDA warning).
You still have to diet and exercise as well.

Bel Marra Health, well known for offering high-quality, specially formulated vitamins and nutritional supplements, supports an interesting new study that shows the effect of sugary drinks on promoting heart disease.

According to a recent medical report published in the journal Nutrition, Metabolism and Cardiovascular Diseases, the type of diet may significantly influence an individuals chances to live longer and improve cardiac care. In addition, the type of food items consumed on a regular basis may also affect the chances of suffering from a heart attack. Effective lifestyle interventions may thus help in cardiac care, ultimately resulting in a higher probability to live longer.

The research study led by Dr. Stricker was fueled by the scarcity in reports that showed a relationship between specific dietary patterns and the chances of suffering from a heart attack. For decades, the correlation between diet and the chances to live longer has been recognized, yet the impact of specific food items on cardiac care and the occurrence of a heart attack are limited. In their study involving approximately 40,011 study participants, specific food items were identified in relation to the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases, including the development of a heart attack, on a long-term basis.

The study participants were asked to complete a questionnaire that allowed the identification of food items that were regularly consumed by the subjects. The study was so specific with the dietary components, using approximately 31 food groups that may help in delineating the actual effect of a particular food item on cardiac care and the chances to live longer. Among the food groups were different types of meat, drinks, bread, cereals, and vegetables.

The results of the study showed that after 13 years, approximately 1,843 of the study participants developed cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack, whereas 588 subjects suffered from a stroke. Interestingly, those that suffered from a heart attack followed a Western dietary pattern that consisted of sugary drinks, alcohol, and high-fat food items. On the other hand, those that showed a higher chance to live longer followed a prudent dietary pattern that consisted of fish, fruits, and vegetables.

This recent medical report is quite comprehensive in terms of food items, allowing the precise identification of specific components that were part of the regular meals of the study participants. In addition, the extensive period of monitoring of 13 years allowed the actual observation of the effects of dietary patterns on the chances to live longer and avoid the development of a heart attack or stroke. The results of the study suggested that certain dietary patterns might not be helpful in cardiac care because it can influence the incidence of a heart attack on a long-term basis.

Previous studies on the relationship of dietary patterns and cardiac care have only involved short-term effects on the chances to live longer. This current study has shown that the quality of food items consumed may definitely help individual to live longer by improving cardiac care.

Spokesperson for Bel Marra Health, Dr. Victor Marchione says, In terms of the type of diet followed by the study participants, the study showed that sugary drinks such as soft drinks and sugar-supplemented beverages were a major part of the Western diet, whereas this same food item was absent in the prudent dietary pattern. The consumption of sugary drinks may thus have a direct role in cardiac care and the chances to live longer.

CEO of Bel Marra Health Jim Chiang says, The reduced risk in suffering from a heart attack may thus be achieved through proper food patterns, thus improving cardiac care and increasing the possibility to live longer.
